T-shirts never cease to amaze me. Talk about the gift that keeps on giving! In an effort to make a skirt out of an old t-shirt, I realized that an old T-shirt can be virtually anything you want it to be. So with a few snips and about 10 minutes of time, I made a collection of awesome wristband wrap bracelets!!!
Step 1: Take an old T-shirt. The larger the better, and I prefer the kind without a seam on the side. Cut it off at the armpits. Measuring isn't required, that's the beauty of working with an old t-shirt! The only thing I recommend is that the shirt is as plain as possible. Take the bottom piece and cut ONE small 1/4 - 1/2 inch strip off of the top. Don't cut on the bottom where the hem is. I will use the rest of that piece to make a summertime skirt later.
Step 2: Take your strip and stretch it. Pull hard, but be careful not to break it. The skinnier the strip, obviously the more breakable it is. Cut the strip so it is a long string. If the t-shirt has print on it, now is a good time to cut that out completely.
Step 3: Find some cool buttons. I happen to be obsessed with colorful buttons of any kind. The bigger the better. Pick a button color.
Step 5: Once the button is threaded, tie off the strip. Cut off the fringe of the tie.
