Mosaic Table

My husband, mother and I made this a few summers ago and it was a fun project!  We took a plain-looking round table and made it exciting!  The items used for this project were grout, about 15 colored tiles and 5 thin kitchen tiles.
The first thing we did was gently break apart the tiles into fragments by wrapping the tiles in a towel and tapping them with a hammer.  Then we laid down a thin layer (1/4 inch) of grout and arranged the tiles!

To seal the tiles in place, spread a little grout between them.  You can also spread grout over top the whole mosaic and wipe it off with a towel, leaving it between the tiles.
