One of my favorite things to make is kabobs. They are fun, healthy, quick, and creative! Best of all, it's just the meal I need to get me out out of that winter blues funk.

Mosaic Table
My husband, mother and I made this a few summers ago and it was a fun project! We took a plain-looking round table and made it exciting! The items used for this project were grout, about 15 colored tiles and 5 thin kitchen tiles.

My First Layer Cake Attempt...and the Things I Learned!
I LOVE my kitchen! It's my favorite room of the house. I have learned, however, that I am much better at cooking meals and baking small things rather than baking cakes. This past weekend I made my first attempt at baking a layer cake. In order to better explain the experience, I have compiled a short list of "dos" and "don'ts" of cake baking. And, yes, this list reflects things that I learned......the hard way! Enjoy!

Snuggly Warmers
I love shopping for flannel fabric. There are a million adorable patterns to choose from, and it's relatively cheap! So it's no surprise that I love these things. The other pros: they are a breeze to make, and so useful that you'll want to make a ton of them for your friends. It's as cheap as 1/4 yard of flannel fabric and about 3 cups of dry white rice. These keep me warm on a cold day, or accompany me on a winter walk. Best of all, they can be made into any shape or size. so there's no wrong way to make it!
